Custom Homes

Custom homes are the heart of what we do. Each house we build is unique: whatever your price point, at RBW Construction, we focus our full attention on excellent craftsmanship, unique ideas, and delivering a quality product at competitive price.

Indeed, Beauty is in the details, and attention to details is one of the things that sets us apart. How building elements intersect, how a trim detail terminates, how you flash a window or stone chimney, taking the time to round over sharp edges before paint hits the surface- these are the kinds of details that separate "good enough" from craftsmanship. At RBW, the relentless pursuit of this craftmanship is our goal.

Timber Framing

One of the more distinctive services that RBW offers is that of timber frame structures. Timber framing is really a return to the fundamental skills of carpentry, and it transcends mere mass production with standard "dimension lumber" to become, in the truest sense, an art form.

It is quite fulfilling, from time to time, to trade in the nail guns and air compressors for the simpler tools of the trade - wooden mallets and chisels - and to painstakingly connect solid timbers with true mortise and tenon joinery into custom buildings, or even incorporate them into your home.

Wood Designs

Periodically we receive requests from customers to craft custom wood furniture or cabinetry, often tailored to complement a specific space, and we are delighted to provide this service as well. Entertainment centers, buffets, bookcases, tables, and desks are several examples of projects we have completed.

We are not a production cabinetmaker, but we do build one-of-a-kind, solid wood creations. I (Rocky) love using a large variety of woods- wood shavings of Cherry, White and Red Cedar, Walnut, Hard and Soft maple, Mahogany, Pecan, White and Red Oak, Hickory, Poplar, Purpleheart, Sycamore, Magnolia, have been swept off the workshop floor, each with their unique smells, colors, and properties.
